# Assigning Users, Employees, and Loan Officers/Brokers to a Loan File

## Assign employees, loan officers and brokers to a loan file from the Dashboard, Pipeline or the file itself.

#### **Assigning an Employee to a Loan File**

Use this to assign any back-office team member (e.g., processor, underwriter, closer) to a loan file by role.

### **From the Dashboard**

Available in both the **Upcoming Closings** and **Most Recent** tabs.

1. Locate the loan file in the Dashboard.
2. Click the employees icon on the file's row.
3. Select the **Role** type from the dropdown.
4. Select the **Employee's name** you want to assign.
5. Click **Save**.

### **From the Pipeline**

1. Locate the loan file in the Pipeline view.
2. Click the green folder icon ("Click to Show/ Hide more info") on the left of the file row to open the More Actions panel, then click the employees icon ("Click to View/Assign Employee(s)").
3. Select the **Role** type and the **Employee** you want to assign.
4. Click **Save**.

### **From Inside a Loan File (Admin Tab)**

1. Open the loan file.
2. Click the Admin tab (page heading File Info), or use Admin Info at the top of Quick App or Full App.
3. Select the **Role** type and the **Employee** you want to assign.
4. Click **Save**.

#### **Assigning a Loan Officer or Broker to a Loan File**

Use this when you need to assign or reassign a Loan Officer or Broker specifically. In addition to the Dashboard and Pipeline options above, Loan Officers and Brokers can also be assigned directly from within the loan file itself.

### **From the Quick App or Full App Tab (Inside a Loan File)**

This is the most direct method when you're already working inside a loan file.

1. Open the loan file.
2. Navigate to either the **Quick App** tab or the **Full App** tab.
3. Locate the Loan Officer / Broker assignment field.
4. Select the appropriate Loan Officer or Broker from the dropdown.
5. Save your changes.

### **From the Dashboard**

Available in both the **Upcoming Closings** and **Most Recent** tabs.

1. Locate the loan file in the Dashboard.
2. Click the employees icon on the file's row.
3. For a loan officer or broker, use the branch and broker icon instead. It opens Assign/View Loan Officer/Broker and Branch, where you pick the Branch, Broker and Loan Officer.
4. Select the name from the dropdown.
5. Click **Save**.

### **From the Pipeline (Shortcut Folder)**

1. Locate the loan file in the Pipeline view.
2. Click the green folder icon to open the More Actions panel.
3. Click the branch icon to open Assign/View Loan Officer/Broker and Branch.
4. Select the name from the dropdown and save.

> 💡 **Tip:** Hovering the branch icon in the More Actions panel shows the currently assigned Loan Officer and Broker at a glance without opening the full loan file.
