Assigning Users, Employees, and Loan Officers/Brokers to a Loan File
LendingWise gives you multiple places throughout the platform to assign team members to a loan file — so you can make assignments wherever you happen to be working without navigating away. There are two types of assignments covered in this article: Loan Officer /Broker Assignment and Employee Assignment.
Assigning an Employee to a Loan File
Use this to assign any back-office team member (e.g., processor, underwriter, closer) to a loan file by role.
From the Dashboard

Available in both the Upcoming Closings and Most Recent tabs.
- Locate the loan file in the Dashboard.
- Click the Assigned Employees icon in the Actions column.
- Select the Role type from the dropdown.
- Select the Employee's name you want to assign.
- Click Save.
From the Pipeline

- Locate the loan file in the Pipeline view.
- Click the green Shortcut Folder icon on the left side of the file row to open the quick-access panel.
- Select the Role type and the Employee you want to assign.
- Click Save.
From Inside a Loan File (Admin Tab)

- Open the loan file.
- Navigate to the Admin tab.
- Select the Role type and the Employee you want to assign.
- Click Save.
Assigning a Loan Officer or Broker to a Loan File
Use this when you need to assign or reassign a Loan Officer or Broker specifically. In addition to the Dashboard and Pipeline options above, Loan Officers and Brokers can also be assigned directly from within the loan file itself.
From the Quick App or Full App Tab (Inside a Loan File)

This is the most direct method when you're already working inside a loan file.
- Open the loan file.
- Navigate to either the Quick App tab or the Full App tab.
- Locate the Loan Officer / Broker assignment field.
- Select the appropriate Loan Officer or Broker from the dropdown.
- Save your changes.
From the Dashboard

Available in both the Upcoming Closings and Most Recent tabs.
- Locate the loan file in the Dashboard.
- Click the Assigned Employees icon in the Actions column.
- Select Loan Officer or Broker as the Role type.
- Select the name from the dropdown.
- Click Save.
From the Pipeline (Shortcut Folder)

- Locate the loan file in the Pipeline view.
- Click the Shortcut Folder icon to open the quick-access panel.
- Click the person icon to view or change the assigned Loan Officer and/or Broker.
- Select the name from the dropdown and save.
💡 Tip: The Pipeline Shortcut Folder also lets you view the currently assigned Loan Officer and Broker at a glance without opening the full loan file.
