[Main Platform Settings](https://help.lendingwise.com/knowledge/setting-up-the-platform?hsLang=en#main-platform-settings) # File Tab Display Order ## Choose which tabs show in the loan file menu for each user type, and in what order. **File Tab Display Order**    Managing the display of the tabs in the menu on the left side of your loan files is a crucial part of setting up your workspace. The File Tab Display Order function is a beneficial feature that gives you control over the visibility and sequence of tabs in the menu on the left side of all your loan files.    **How to Access the File Tab Display Order Section**  ![File Tab Display Order 1](https://help.lendingwise.com/hs-fs/hubfs/KB%20Screenshots%202026-10/company-settings-file-display-order-tab_img1.png?width=688&name=company-settings-file-display-order-tab_img1.png) 1. In the menu on the left, click Settings. 2. In the drop-down menu, select Platform Settings. 3. In the drop-down menu for Platform Settings, locate and click on File Tab Display Order.   You are now in the File Tab Display Order settings and ready to customize your tab display.    **Displaying or Hiding Tabs**  ![File Tab Display Order 2](https://help.lendingwise.com/hs-fs/hubfs/KB%20Screenshots%202026-10/company-settings-file-display-order-tab_img2.png?width=688&name=company-settings-file-display-order-tab_img2.png) Pick a User Type at the top of the page. Choose "- All -" to see a grid of every tab for every user type: a green check means visible, a red X means hidden, and a padlock means the tab isn't available for that user type.    - Tabs with a green check show in the loan file's menu. - Conversely, tabs with a red 'x' will be hidden from view in your loan file interface.   Click a check or X to switch it. You'll be asked "Are you sure?", and the change saves right away.    **Reordering Tabs**    Within the File Tab Display Order settings, you can also adjust the sequence of the tabs. This feature can help prioritize certain sections in your loan file, ensuring they're easily accessible.    Reordering is simple and intuitive, thanks to the drag-and-drop functionality. First pick a single User Type. Then click and hold the tab name and drag it to a new position. Tabs can only move within their own group (for example, within UNDERWRITING). The last group is called OTHER on this page and TOOLS in the loan file. The new order will be set once you release the mouse button.    Changes made in the File Tab Display Order settings are automatically saved and instantly reflected in your loan files. Feel free to revisit these settings as often as needed to ensure your workspace remains optimized for your workflow.    In summary, accessing the File Tab Display Order via Settings \> Platform Settings allows you to enhance the usability of your loan file.
