How to assign a Lender / Capital Source to a Loan File?

There are several ways to assign or indicate a lender or capital source you are using for a loan.

1. The primary and recommended way to setup your lenders/capital sources in the system is as "Internal Loan Programs" (See article on setting up Loan Programs and Internal loan programs here)

Navigate to Pipeline > Pipeline-Main > click on your loan file > Full App tab > then click the "Select Internal Loan Program" dropdown box to assign the Internal Loan Program (Lender/Capital Source).

2. An alternate way to indicate a lender on a loan file is to use "Sub-statuses"

You can create your own custom "Sub-statuses" using the name of your lender. Then you can assign the "lender named" Sub-status to a file.

Similar to an Internal Loan Program, you can enable the Sub-status column in your main pipeline view to easily see loan files with their corresponding lenders.

Navigate to Pipeline > Pipeline-Main > click on your loan file > Full App tab > then click the "File Sub Status" dropdown box to assign the Sub-Status (Lender/Capital Source)
