Follow these steps if you would like to bulk import a data file of borrowers only.
Log in to your LendingWise back office and click "Users/Contacts". Click on "Borrowers", then click on the "Import Borrower" icon all the way to the right of the screen.
Click the "Download Sample Template" icon. Once downloaded, replace the 1 sample entry for "John Smith" with your own borrower data. Please make sure you keep the header row as it is. Make sure you do not keep the row with the sample entry of "John Smith", if you keep that row you may get an error when importing.
Once you've finished, save your file as a CSV file with a unique name of your choice.
NOTE: At the moment, the fields in the sample template are the only fields that can be bulk-imported for the borrowers.
NOTE: The data file MUST have all first names, last names, and email addresses. If an entry is missing any of those, you will get an error and your upload will fail.
NOTE: Phone numbers in the data file can only have 7 digits. If an entry has a phone number with more than 7 digits, you will get an error and your upload will fail.
Now that you have your CSV import file ready for import go back into "Users/Contacts" and then Click "Borrowers"
Click on the "Import Borrower" icon all the way to the right of the screen.
Click on the "Choose File" button, then select your recently saves CSV file with all the borrower data you are going to import. Then click the blue "Import Borrowers" button to import your data file. When you click the button pay attention to the message that follows immediately.
You should see this green "Borrower data imported successfully" message on your screen if your borrower data imported successfully. If you get a red error message, note what the error is (why you could not import) and make that correction in your CSV file before trying to import it again, until you get the green message shown below.
