How to Change the File Status on Multiple Loan Files at Once?

Need to update the File Status of several loan files at the same time?
Instead of updating each file individually, you can
bulk change loan statuses in just a few clicks.

This saves time and helps keep your pipeline organized and up to date.

✅ When You Might Use This

  • Moving a group of files from "Initial Review" to "Processing"

  • Marking multiple files as "Withdrawn" or "Closed"

  • Advancing pre-approvals to an active loan status

  • Archiving inactive applications

🔧 How to Bulk Update Loan Statuses

⚠️ Permissions Note: You must have access to bulk actions. If you don’t see the options below, contact your system administrator.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Navigate to the Loan Pipeline:

    • Go to the Loans or Pipeline section from the main navigation.

  2. Use Filters (Optional):

    • Filter by loan officer, status, or other criteria to narrow down the files you want to update.

  3. Select Loans:

    • Check the box next to each loan you want to update.

    • Or, select the top checkbox to select all visible loans on the page.

  4. Click on the “Bulk Actions” or “Actions” Menu:

    • Look for a button labeled “Bulk Actions,” “More,” or a gear icon.

  5. Choose “Change Status”:

    • A popup or dropdown will appear prompting you to select the new status.

  6. Select the New Status:

    • Choose the appropriate status from the dropdown menu.

  7. Confirm the Change:

    • You’ll be asked to confirm. Review your selections and click “Confirm” or “Apply.”

  8. Done!

    • The selected loans will now reflect the updated status.

🔄 Things to Keep in Mind

  • Bulk actions cannot always be undone. Double-check before confirming.

  • Some statuses may trigger automated workflows (emails, tasks, etc.)—make sure the change is intentional.

  • If certain loans don’t update, it may be due to missing data or system rules. Review those files individually.
