[Frequently Asked Questions](https://help.lendingwise.com/knowledge/frequently-asked-questions?hsLang=en) # How to Lock & Unlock Loan Terms ## Lock the loan terms section on a loan file so users without lock permission can't change them once they're set. All users have a permission that could allow them to lock/unlock loan terms.� This permission must be set by a Manager/Admin. The Lock Loan File switch is on the Loan Info tab (and on Full App), and only shows to users with "Allow to Lock/unlock loan information?" turned on in their profile. Turn the switch on, then click Save: the lock takes effect after the save, and a padlock shows who locked it. Users who have the lock permission can still edit a locked file. Property Info and Borrower Info are never locked. This prevents unauthorized changes from being made to the loan terms section of the loan file.
