Auto-Generated Loan Numbers

Set up and use your auto generated loan numbers

To find this:

  1. Go to Settings > Platform Settings > Company Settings.
  2. In the Loan Configuration card, turn on Use Auto Generated Loan Number(s)?.
  3. Enter your Starting Loan number.
  4. Click Save at the bottom of the page. One Save covers the whole page.

Note: numbering always continues from the highest loan number generated so far. If you leave Starting Loan number blank, or set it lower than a number already used, the next file gets the next number after the highest one. For example, start at 1000 and you get 1001, 1002 and so on. If 1002 has already been used and you change the start to 10, the next number is still 1003.

To give a file its number, open the loan file and click the refresh icon next to Loan Number (tooltip "Click to auto create loan number."). It's on the Loan Info tab in the Loan Settings card, and on the Admin tab (page heading File Info).
