[Inside a loan file](https://help.lendingwise.com/knowledge/using-the-platform?hsLang=en#inside-a-loan-file) # Borrower profile documents ## Store documents on the borrower profile and reuse them on that borrower's loan files. You can store documents on the borrower's profile and reuse them on any of that borrower's loan files, now and in the future. Profile documents aren't linked to a loan file's required docs automatically, on purpose: a profile document can be wrong or out of date, so you choose when to attach it. That keeps the borrower (the borrower profile) and the loan (the loan file) a little separate. ### Step 1: Create the document slots (Managers) There are three kinds of borrower profile documents: **Borrower Docs**, **Entity Docs** and **Member Docs**. 1. The documents live on two tabs of the profile: **Entity Info** (Entity Docs and Member Docs) and **Docs** (the person's Borrower Docs). ![](https://help.lendingwise.com/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Sep-12-2025-05-58-34-7501-PM.png?width=688&height=384&name=undefined-Sep-12-2025-05-58-34-7501-PM.png) #### Entity Info tab: Entity Docs and Member Docs 1. To add members and their documents, scroll to "Members/Officers (List all member with 20% ownership or more.)" and enter how many members own 20% or more. You can then add Member Docs for each member that is an entity.
