Zapier Integrations (API/Webhooks)

This article offers an overview of both inbound and outbound LendingWise integrations utilizing integration platforms like Zapier for Webhooks.

Zapier is a widely recognized and respected online automation tool that connects your favorite apps, such as Gmail, Slack, MailChimp, and over 2000 more. This powerful platform allows you to automate repetitive tasks without the need for coding or relying on developers to build the integration.

The magic of Zapier lies in its "Zaps", which are automated workflows that connect your apps and services together. Each Zap consists of a "trigger" and one or more "actions". The trigger is the event that starts the Zap. Once you've set this up, Zapier will monitor for this trigger event. Once the trigger occurs, Zapier will automatically perform the actions defined in the Zap.

Zapier is an excellent platform that makes it possible to capture web data from forms or other apps and once the data is in Zapier it can be routed to many apps like Zoho, LendingWise, and hundreds of others. At this time we do not have a prebuilt app, but there are 2 different types of integrations you can set up with LendingWise.

Inbound Integration: Receiving data from an outside system with Zapier as the integration in between allows you to create a new lead in LendingWise. This is done with the API Integration. See: API Integration for Inbound Data Transfer to Post New Leads into LendingWise

Outbound Integration: Send data out from LendingWise to an outside system with Zapier as the integration in between. This is done with a webhook automation. See: Webhook Automation Integration for Outbound Data Transfer

Webhook with API - Lead Data Posting (Inbound Integrations)

If you need to set up an integration to bring data into your system from an outside source, you would use the LendingWise API Lead Data Posting feature along with Zapier's Webhook feature. An API (Application Programming Interface) allows different software applications to communicate with each other.

For instance, let's say you have an online form where potential leads can submit their contact information. When a lead submits this form, you want that information to automatically populate into your LendingWise back office. You could set up a Webhook Zap that uses the API Lead Data Posting feature to achieve this.

The API allows the Zapier Webhook to 'talk' to your LendingWise system. When a form is submitted, the webhook carries the form data (the trigger) to your LendingWise system, which then creates a new lead record (the action). This happens automatically once you've set up your Zap, saving you the time and effort of manual data entry.

Webhook Automation (Outbound Integrations)

On the other hand, if you need to send data out to a third-party system, you would use the LendingWise Webhook Automation feature along with Zapier's Webhook feature. Webhooks are automated messages sent from one app to another when something happens. They have a message—or payload—and are sent to a unique URL—essentially like an app's phone number or address.

For instance, suppose you have a lead in your LendingWise system that reaches a particular file status/stage in your pipeline. You could set up a webhook to automatically send the lead's information to your 3rd party CRM, triggering a personalized email.

In this scenario, the trigger is the lead reaching a particular file status/stage in your LendingWise pipeline, and the action is sending the lead's information to your 3rd party CRM platform via a webhook.

Other Integration Platforms

While Zapier is a powerful tool for automation, there are other platforms available that provide similar functionalities. Tools like Make, Pabbly Connect, Integrately, and others also offer automation capabilities and allow you to connect various apps and services. These platforms can serve as alternatives or complements to Zapier, depending on your specific needs and the apps you wish to integrate.

Remember, the best integration tool for you depends on your unique needs, your tech stack, and your comfort level with setting up and managing automations. Regardless of the platform you choose, automating repetitive tasks can save time, reduce errors, and free you up to focus on more strategic activities.

In conclusion, whether you're bringing data in from an external source or pushing data out to another system, Zapier and similar platforms offer powerful, flexible integration solutions that can streamline your workflows and enhance your productivity.
